Sing Me A Song You Little Singer 221

When I visited Angela a few months ago she gave me a gift. This little Singer Featherweight. Lightweight and portable, perfect for hauling to camp to make a sewn creation.

I know, a gift of this magnitude, can you imagine? They sometimes bring a good chunk of change, change I did not have. A very popular machine for quilters as it is easy to tote along for quilting bees and quilting classes. I wanted to add one to my collection but thought I never would. Then one day while on the phone with Angela we were talking about it and she told me I could have hers. First it was a joke on my part because I said I would dog sit crazy Cassy and she said she would pay me to do so, just like my other dog sitting jobs. I said she could just Will me her Featherweight. And now the rest is history. She is a lovely and generous friend. She gave it to me and I never even had to watch Cassy, as her daughter Anna was going to be home while Angela was away on vacation.

I have not had time to play with it until now. It is quiet up here at camp so I'll get it running and start cutting up some fabric. Hopefully my little project will be half way done by the time I leave here in a few days.

It's supposed to rain later this afternoon so I want to get started before having to pull it into the smaller space of the camper.

It's nice being able to work in the sun and fresh air. It is quiet because no one is here till the weekend. Hanz is in his safe place (the crate in the car,) Buggy is learning 'stay' on a blanket on the deck, and doing quite well, I might add, and R. Is taking an afternoon snooze.

All is good.
