  2. That's great news on the nonprofit status!!! I may be asking you some questions on dog behavior very soon. Its been so long since I've had a new dog that I'm pretty rusty.

  3. Thank you so much for the beautiful picture of the one eyed Angel Schnauzer. My sister and I found out today that her twelve year old mini Schnauzer has a tumor in her right eye and will have it removed soon. She also has the beginning stages of glaucoma and it was a comfort to see a dog seeming to enjoy life after surgery. Thank you!!!

  4. Angel is a pip! and it has been my experience that one eye, no eyes, blind eyes...their personalities show through, they just have to adjust to it. They don't mourn the loss like humans do.

They acclimate and move on. Your sister's Mini may even feel better when the eye is removed as the tumor may be putting pressure on her eye and causing discomfort.

They do feed off of us, though. If we are mopey and too gooey trying to make up for the loss, they will pick up on those emotions, but it won't be because of the disability, it'll be because we are acting different.
